Welcome to the new look www.m00seofd00m.co.uk website!

Jan 2012:

Happy New Year to all the readers! I have some old photos to add very soon but the videos for Cane Hill are still yet to be edited, as I've been busy.

Nov 2011:

Been a busy month updating the site, I've currently got a big project on the go for some Cane Hill video footage which was taken back in Novemeber 2004 when I went with a group of people. (Makes me feel a bit odd looking back at it...) More on that next month when I finish editing and doing the html for it. So until then there won't be any further updates.

Oct 2011:

Just read on a blog by an ex worker at Cane Hill that the memorial plaques to patients who died at Cane Hill and those who fought in both World Wars was stolen (along with others) during the last week of September. But it's only just been discovered and I would ask that if anyone knew the whereabouts of these to say something. I rather fear that it's too late and these have been sold for scrap. You can read more here...

I have been a busy bee and started the rummage through my collection of oddments found at Cane Hill over the years. It's all, (as some may have noticed) in it's own section now. Still loads more to do and some gaps to fill in. I've also ordered the book I found the other day too.

After a bit of researching this afternoon about the Positive Futures Programme that was occurring around 1990/91 at Cane Hill, I came across a book called Cane Hill Hospital: The Tower On The Hill by Pam Buttrey. She worked as an Occupational Therapist during the final years of the hospital and although she wasn't part of the programme, she did have a helping hand in closing the place down.

Seeing as people have moved onto wide-screen monitors, I've taken the time to resize all the thumbnails and link to larger pictures in the 'Gallery' section. I think that's it now for the moment!
